East End Intermediate has received the Arkansas Farm to School grant, allowing us to now have a school vegetable garden. 5th grade students are responsible for taking care of the garden, with Mrs. Easley overseeing their work. We're excited to grow fresh foods here on campus, allowing our students to learn how to care for a garden as well as enjoy eating the fruits (or should we say vegetables) of their labor!

CKH Classes of the Month had the opportunity to select which animal Dr. Binz would kiss. Today, Dr. Binz fulfilled that promise in front of the entire school. We're so proud of our students and the empathy they showed throughout the month of September. Thank you to Austin Guyot, Arkansas FFA Eastern District Vice-President for helping out in the assembly. We always appreciate older students teaching about their love for agriculture and being a mentor to our younger students. Thank you also to Arkansas FFA Ag-In-Action for providing the animals today.
